Check your MV-55. It was my understanding that it is switchable between ultralinear and triode mode. If not, give CJ a call or drop an email (see http://www.conradjohnson.com for contact info) and they will send you the instructions to do it yourself. I triode modded an MV- 52 based on data they sent me. It was a *very* easy mod.BTW, I noticed quite an improvement in the ease and presentation of the amp. If you can give up the power, it is definitely worth it.
