Questions about tubes and gear that glows. FAQ

*Attention* my apology

First off, I must apologize for the way I carried myself in older posts. The original approach was bad logic, immature and wrong. I apologize to anyone who took them as offensive, or took offense to seemingly anti-tube views. I also apologize to those experianced individuals for thinking the tube community was snotty.
With that said, my 7-course dinner of crow was served up with habanero sauce after I heard the modified Jolida 801.
To Dave VH: this journey didn't take that much time, or effort. The difference was obvious, and I know you're philosophizing was your way of downing any insincerety- kind of like a rope-a-dope.
lessons learned:
1) Any SS I could afford, up to the Bryston and Aragon lines cannot do for me what this 801 did. In retrospect they do seem to all be different levels of harsh and glare.
2) tubes do not smudge or soften up music in this case. The bass was as controlled or better than any SS I ever heard, the mids and highs- SS can forgeddaboudit.
3) The tubes gave me more detail, and musicality than Acurus or any affordable SS could.
4) Wire does not equal wire. The Apature interconnects and speaker cables were better than the monster cables I had. Just as if you spoke with your hand in front of your mouth, and removed it.
5) judging from the 5 sets of transports, DAC's, power supplies, clients liked the $550 Jolida 550 cd player better than their $4,000 worth of SS CD transports and outboard processing.
6) I don't care what an SS says, they probably lied on wpc. This amp, rated for a mere 70wpc will play as loud as a 250wpc Acurus, Adcom etc.
7) Tube cd's rule! I had thought of getting the Adcom Cd-700[?] or a Sony ES player. No more. It will be either a Jolida 550 [better than 601 or 602 I am told] or the AH! Tjoeb 99.
8) Fm reception sucks here. I will keep my Yamaha T-85.
9) God appearently listens to tube amps.
10) I have over 500 CD's to re-listen to to find out what I have been missing. Damn the luck.
11) The tube community is a tight group that have more to talk about than any bunch of SS guys I talked to. An ss converasation:
a: I bought an Aragon 8008.
b. I bought a Krell, which makes your weak kitten Aragon sound like a can opener. I spent more than you, so I have a better amp,I win.
End of conversation.
Tube amp owners response to SS [paraphrasing Billy Joel]
"Hot funk, cool punk, even if it's old junk it's still solid state to me"
I am truly sorry, and thank you Edp [moderator] for hanging in there, I hope my attonement is adequate because I see the light. You folks here were right, and I could not have been more wrong.
Now I will probably hear the Disney dwarves in my sleep heading to the mines:
"JO-Li-DAH---Jooooeee-woahhh...Jo-LI-DAH...Joeeee---Woaahhhh"
