New to Tubes...6550 vs KT88 vs EL34

I just jumped into tubes with both feet and traded in my GamuT solid state electronics for Rogue M150 monos and Rogue 99 preamp. They have been burning in for about 80 hours and so far so good. I seem to prefer triode versus ultralinear with the kind of listening that I do. I really love the midrange richness, soundstage size and layering and overall warmth that this has brought to my system. Vocals such as Jacintha or Patricia Barber are very real sounding. Duke Ellington's "Blues in Orbit" SACD never more real, full and dynamic. I was awed listening last night!

Rest of system: Audio Physic Virgo III, Sony 777ES SACD, MMF7 TT, with Nordost wires and PS Audio P300.

My question is how can I learn about the different attributes of the various choices of output tubes that I can use in the monoblocs? I understand that even though it comes loaded with 6550's (4 per side) that I can substitute KT88 or EL34. Not that I want to do anything right now, but I would like to learn more about output tubes in general.

Can anyone direct me to a very basic article, book, post that clearly delineates the sonic differences in these tubes?

Thanks in advance for your help. This tube stuff is going to be fun!
