The ones in the picture (above post) have metal bases and are supposed to be the best. However, there are some with similiar internals with black bases that, I am told, are also good. Newer models with different internals (like the Sovteks) are said to sound not so hot.
Which tubes do you have that are microphonic and is your system high gain?
