The B+ was measured at 458V, so I guess I am close to the limit. The rectification is SS and I'm using some Fairchild Stealth FREDs from Percy Audio. These diodes seem like they would help overshoot, but not solve problems due to startup peaks.

It seems Nichicon also have a 500V limit. What do the big boys use on those high B+ rails?

Maybe I should try some 630V Solen's.....aren't poly caps supposed to trump lytics in PS circuits?
