Anyone know of problems using Black Gates in PS?

Awhile back I installed a couple large 100uF/500V caps into my Mac MC240 in the power supply section for the B+. Yeah, they were expensive, but they seemed to work fine and sound great.

I have contacted a highly respected Mac restoration tech to help in transferring all the parts from my rusted chassis to a newly shiny restored chassis. The Mac tech said using Black gates was a big mistake since he knew of some failures when used in power supplies. Something about failing shorted which obviously wouldn't be fun....

But I've never heard anyone complain about Black Gate reliability or failures. Does anyone else have any inside knowlege of any BG problems with failures? I like the BG caps in this amp and unless I can confirm the failure story, I'll probably keep them in. But this tech has a great reputation and is a Mac expert......so I'm confused about what to believe. Any good stories about amps torching would be appreciated : )
