Is this an old diode and should I replace it for safety? (pic)

Trying to trouble shoot an old bias supply on a recently aquired amp. I assume that this is a diode (Sylvania 1N34) ,but as I wasn't able to find any info with a search, figured that I'd ask just to be safe.Thanks in advance. wpod
