Type 30 looks to be almost like an 01A with heavier filament, the gain is right and with the low Cin of the 71A the Rp is fine.For filament bias, what I'd need is a filament current of 250mA. The supply would be CLC with a CM choke as the last element, well filtered DC, would that keep the 01A quiet enough?
I'm trying to figure if its worth breadboarding, or if its a definate non-starter.
I think the 27 sounds great, but perhaps the 01A with the capless bias arrangement with the 71A would sound better. Maybe someone has been there before?.
