RE: the back panel ...

The back panel containing IEC socket and binding posts was fabricated from aluminum bar stock by DT667 and connected with "military grade vibration control" fasteners and bonding agents.

Improvement to the mechanical strength with the addition of a back panel allowed DT667 to implement "infinite Z traps" to maximum effect.

The chassis has now been "tuned" for optimum subjective performance with the techniques described above.
