RE: The "Green God" ...

Using a 6BQ5 as you did makes more sense as the drive requirements are less demanding than a 6AQ5.

Local feedback makes sense with the 2 chassis format.

The schematic posted on DT667's project page failed to include the feedback network - a .1uf mylar film cap + 200k resistor in series from plate to grid of the 6AQ5.

The most difficult thing about the "Green God" was painting the chassis, the rest is a standard console circuit design that borrows a bit from the RH series using of low noise zeners for the screen circuit.
