RE: credentials ... who can challenge DF?

I build for my own system and a few friends. I have no interest in being in the audio equipment business.

Having said that, audio electronics follow rules. If you try to drive the Miller capacitance of a 2a3 with a driver stage that has a high output impedance you will lose high frequencies. That is just a fact. Dennis' amplifier does this.

How can an amplifier that loses high frequencies because of an obvious design flaw be on a "lofty perch"? Who told you that Dennis is on a "lofty perch".

BTW There are many people from the AA that can build a better amp than Dennis and you are one of them.
