RE: admission ... ?

DF has been asked to publish the specs of his amplifier many times and, to the best of my knowledge, he never has. However he has said that, depending on the brand of the output tube used, his amplifier starts to roll off at 9kHZ, 11kHz or 15kHz.

I checked the inter electrode capacitance of the tubes mentioned (and by extension the in circuit Miller capacitance of those tubes) against the output impedance of his driver stage and confirmed his numbers.

If he would follow conventional EE practices in his design (ie, make sure the driver stage can properly drive the Miller capacitance of the output tube), his amps would not display HF roll off within the audio band.

It's interesting that you would use the word "posture".

pos·ture

noun
2.
a particular way of behaving that is intended to convey a false impression; a pose.

verb
1.
behave in a way that is intended to impress or mislead.

IMO a "best in class" SE tube amplifier would not have any gross, measurable short comings. I think Dennis' amps would benefit from less posturing and more old school engineering.
