DF, JDM and the other MLP team members have "perfected" or are currently in the process of perfecting SE tube amp design and construction techniques that are way outside what is accepted as "standard" EE.

Only the MLP or those in the "inner circle" of builders working with MLP team members have access to that sort of knowledge and have enough hours of listening experience to use the "ears" as the primary validation instrument.

DT667 is still using circa 2008 "low DCR" technology - mostly regarding the B+ transformers, PS rectifiers & filtering and some cathode bypass experimentation. Everything else is standard design and measurement science.

The MLP is at least 30 years ahead of where DT667 is at the moment.

Nothing to really "wise up" to if you understand DF and the MLP are not following conventional EE practices.
