RE: Well, that is the most ridiculous post you've made in ages! nt

Hi, Kyle! Well, I did miss a few great resistors.

Caddocks. Especially the TFO-20. I use Kool Tabs
a lot lately-- they make excellent shunt-regulator parts.

The capacitor game is an odd thing,-- it seems everyone
has their faves.

No one Brand has more than a few really
good ones. You can identify some of those by just using
common sense. For example, let's say we have a 1uf cap
with a 600 VDC rating in the same brand and type, as their
1uf at 800 VDC rating, but this 800 VDC cap is physically
SMALLER than their 600 VDC model.

What gives here? Do you suppose that they might have
had to go with a superior dielectric for the 800 VDC
model, and it is thinner? Maybe. We don't know for
sure, but it sure looks interesting-- it should be
LARGER but it isn't!

Well, WHAT IF they did use a thinner, superior dielectric
for the 800 VDC model? Would it sound better than the
600 VDC one in the same line? That idea must be tried on
every brand that you use, if you want to find their best
caps..

Might a carefully chosen lower-priced model from
another manufacturer outperform either one?
The answer to that question can save you money and
deliver far superior sound.

Yes, there's always more.......
