RE: ear testing - pros vs. joes ... 120Hz

Not so fast, TK.

I recall DF claiming that he was using either hum (60Hz) or buzz (120Hz) to act as a carrier of "micro-dynamic" elements of the AC music signal in his 2A3 amplifiers. Somehow, it relates to the use of microphonic 7B4 driver tubes.

Way too tired to search the archived posts to support my memory of this topic at the moment.
