RE:replacing all the caps in a 300B tube monoblock with all new film caps has been an enlightening experience

had the same thing only it was film caps and then new film caps...
replaced a mundorf al w/oil 16uF, jantzen superior red 8uF, and a asc oil can 45uF all with V-Cap Odams... not cheap.. at first my Paul Joppa / Joe Roberts WE91 300b's sounded like they had a blanket on them... believe I thought "oh no, wtf did I do ?
now, after almost 150 hrs its holy crap... same experiece with my DAC using V-Cap cutf capacitors...
with the amps I was comparing them constantly to my PX25 amp for perspective after each day or two... something changed over time... I believe it was capacitor "burn in" / "break in"...
