Home Tube DIY Asylum

Do It Yourself (DIY) paradise for tube and SET project builders.

Good question...

Just finished a rebuild on one of my 300B monoblocks. Replaced all of the electrolytics, including cathode resistor by-passes, with film, mostly Kemet DC-link.

Sounded pretty lame for the first couple days. Still only one done so it's hard to really tell but I think for the first 50 hours maybe don't be too worried if film caps sound bad.

Speakers, with lower voltages applied might take longer?

First they came for the dumb-asses
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a dumb-ass
