Perhaps the reason nobody has pointed it out is because they have read the OP's posts more carefully than you have.
When responding to a post requesting help with a problem, the first step is to identify the conditions under which the problem occurs. Please see my response to mfitz, and the questions I asked, for an example.
One of the questions I asked was about his speakers. The purpose of the question was to get some idea of how serious the hum was. There's a big difference between hum that can be heard with your ear right up to 100db speakers and hum that can be heard, at the listening position, between songs, using 90db speakers.
You apparently stopped reading after he mentioned the efficiency of his speakers, which was in response to only one of the questions I asked.
Here is his response to another of my questions,

So, at least in his most recent post, he says the hum is there without the preamp in the system.
I also asked him to clarify the history of the problem, because there does seem to be some conflicting information based on his posts, made years ago, about noise issues.
Perhaps he will. If he returns.
