Hi Folks,
This is a call for help. Are there any experienced DIY guys that could help me with noise issues in my Pre and Amp builds. I have a SE 2A3 amp using DR low mu design and a pre using 01a tube. Using dc reg on both filament and high voltage supplies on the pre. They say the 01a are difficult to find quiet examples. I have gone thru about 12 and the 2 I use are not dead quiet but tired of looking. I live in Jackson MI And could use some hands on help. Have tried the usual fixes, grounding schemes Shilding etc. Love the sound but the noise drives me crazy. Sounds like 60hz and static. Thanks for any help.
