I am a doctor myself, although not a shrink.
One of our sons has bipolar disorder, and he was briefly treated with lithium at the onset of his illness, age 17.
Because of this experience and my medical background, I have become a sort of armchair expert on psychotropic drugs especially as they have affected our son over more than 20 years since his diagnosis.
And yet....
I didn't get your joke until "bouncy ball" spelled it out for me.
I am normally thought of as an amusing person, if not downright funny.
