The adjustment knob on my Variac has markings for output voltage at different settings. Of course, those are not going to be perfectly accurate, depending upon input voltage from the wall. So I identified the exact setting where I see 115V output using my Fluke meter and marked it with a fineline magic marker. (It's at about "112V" marked on my dial. When I apply AC to the Beveridge amplifier, I ramp it up slowly to the black magic marker line each time. I recently saw that one can buy a Variac with a continuous output voltage readout via a built-in meter. That would be cool, but I am happy with what I have.
I forgot to add in my response to Story that when in use, the amplifiers receive regulated 120VAC from a PS Audio P15. The meter on the P15 tells me the amplifiers draw less than 2 amps each.

- Yes, I am well aware that the voltage will sag a bit when the variac is feeding the Bev amplifier - Lew 16:12:50 10/21/20 (0)
- Yes, then adjust the knob position if possible and needed. NT - Coner 11:10:27 10/21/20 (0)
