KLH9 electrostatic speaker voltage step-up transformers were potted with what appears to be a kind of wax, maybe beeswax. It melts at something less than 200 degrees F, and you can then literally pour it out of the container. I once re-used some of it, which I harvested from a blown transformer, to damp a turntable.
