RE: Shunt Reg Driver on LW SET - ?

Run the current source at 10mA and shunt 9mA. Heat sinking the shunt device shouldn't be a problem. You can adjust the CCS and probably shunt less. I did this for the two 12AX7s in an Eico HF81. Ran the CCS @8mA and shunted ~5mA. I'm currently working on a project where I'll need to shunt 50mA across 300V. Will need big heat sink.
