That's what I was stating in a very poor way. With no load on the output a perfect current source load on the tube results in a horizontal AC load line. Very little distortion because there is very current change in the tube. When a low impedance load is added to the output that load is in parallel with the CCS in an AC sense rotating the load line off horizontal resulting in current swings in the tube, hence more distortion.
