RE: Thanks - pretty persuasive argument for parafeed...

It's fairly basic. A pair of Russian 6N30s configured as LTPs with active CCS "tails" loaded by Lundahl LL1689AM line out transformers. The B+ is supplied to the transformers CT via a CCS fed active shunt regs. The RCA inputs connect through Lundahl LL1690 input transformers. The balanced XLR inputs connect to the secondary of the input transformer (acting as a CT grid choke). The volume attenuator is wired as a shunt style attenuator. The built in DAC is based on the PCM1794 chip, a balanced current output DAC. I/V conversion is done with two pairs of resistors and the signal is fed directly to the grids of the tubes with no RC filter. The B+ and negative PSs are of the choke input variety. I have to tip the hat to Kevin Carter of K&K Audio for most of the design work that went into this project. The original parafeed version was a kit designed by Kevin's friend Dave Davenport and sold by K&K Audio as the Mood Indigo. Other than the front panel with the remote control functions and the rear panel with the jacks and switching and the PS transformer there"s not much of the original Mood Indigo left in there.
