RE: How to calculate current based on the sum of AC and DC voltages

I do it empirically. Guess a size and stick it in. If it blows, try next larger size. Repeat if necessary. If it does't blow, try a smaller size until it does and go up one size. If nuisance blows on start-up are a problem, use a slow blow fuse.
