I always thought this was a tweaky old wives tale, until I happened to find the above information in an old Allen-Bradley data sheet.
The times A-B mentioned are much longer than anything I've previously read on the topic, but who would know better than the manufacturer? I'll have to decide if nearly five and a half days with my oven set to 212 ºF is practical for a couple of 1k grid stoppers. I'll measure them first and see what I get.
