I'm running TJ perfplate 300B's on Hawker Cyclon 5aH SLA batteries. There are 2 batteries for each tube. When the amp is turned on set "A" is connected to the filaments. After about a half hour set "B" is connected, then set "A" is disconnected. There is about a 1 second dwell time where both batteries are connected. When the batteries are not connected to the filament they are connected to the charger. For more info on the battery scheme you can look at the early schematics for the 26 line stage on my webpage. I have 2 systems running, 2 volts for the 26's and 6 volts for the 300B's.The small resistance is not an issue for me as the entire cathode resistor is unbypassed. I'm running a big CCS on the 300B and it sounds better with no cap on the cathode.
