good point... TK makes the same point below... i guess you just have to make the tradeoff between how much unbypassed cathode resistance you want, vs how much of your battery power you want to waste.what tube are you using with batteries?
doing some quick math i guess a 50 ohm virtual CT (25+25) on a 5V supply would only draw 100ma of current and add 12.5 ohms of unbypassed cathode resistance (right??)
in any event i like the ides that if you allow 2 ac paths... make sure they are the same.
