RE: Cree SiC Diodes - Advice please

Eli, the noise is a concern for me; makes me nervous. You recommend sawing off the metal mounting tab (cathode) - is this the main thing to reduce noise pick-up? Do I still need to shorten the pins suggested elsewhere. Should they be shielded, orclamped between Cu bar, or?..

How difficult are the Cree SiC to use in practice and are they worth the effort (and noise risk) over the HEXFREDs?
