RE: Cree SiC Diodes - Advice please

Thanks for the info Johno... certainly has given me info for further research and traps to be aware of.

For 500 VDC B+, probably close to 400-0-400 VRMS. This roughly translates to a PIV too close to the 1200V limit. That said, I was being conservative and I will actually need circa 425 VDC B+ at most, so more like 350-0-350 VRMS, hence PIV ~1000... maybe enough margin when using a 1200V type. Still there are 1700V types available.

My concern now is noise...
