Attaching to the sub-chassis means I have fewer connections from the sub-chassis to chassis-mounted components - a bit easier to build. Can also change out caps without having to hack the chassis. Allow the extra space underneath, take care with ventilation, and use thicker ties than what you think you might need... just to be safe.
Thanks for the component tips BB! I've used all dry metalised films in this build (except for the screen bypass), but will use oilers for PS next time. I'd love to find a quality, low voltage/ high uF cap for input stage cathode bypass duty...
