How AC is implemented is fairly obvious, however, there are several (many?) ways to implement DC. How was yours implemented as implementation makes a big difference? For example, I converted DC using a voltage regulator to DC using Schotky diodes, a choke and blackgate caps. The latter greatly improved my amps. I bet that this means to implement DC is as good or better than AC since with AC, junk on the AC line can go directly to the tube, but with DC (using the second means) it is filtered out.
