Although prototyping at present, the final result will installed in the enclosure: the layout can be refined on the bench then bolted into the enclosure. The final module will look much tidier than shown.I draw the design by hand then send to the plastics supplier for machining. Hopefully this pic helps - there is still a bit of superficial waste hanging from some holes, but you can see the tube socket mounts, small holes for post mounting and larger holes for ties and ventilation:
POM is expensive - an indulgence I am not recommending to others - but allows me to more completely meet design objectives. I'm curious about the non-conductive chassis concept, am not a fan of wood (sub)chassis, and wanted a material that is stable, stiff, strong etc. As a bonus, it is easily machined.
Drilled posts are used to keep the number of connections to minimum, eliminate turrets/tags, and allow building in 3-dimensions while providing component support and ventilation.
