The power switching arcing "pop" from my current amp triggers the protection circuitry of my (overly sensitive) DAC. It would be nice to eliminate it (and avoid it on my next build) for a few bucks if I can - if not, no big.
Oh, I use a thermistor on the primary - getting to full B+ takes about 25 seconds.
