RE: Anything new about the cathode bypass caps?

I don't have the formula to hand right now, but doesn't it need to take into account the -3dB point.

In my amp, for the target -3dB point I get a touch less than 22uF... but I'm running direct couple (more cathode resistance) and cold operating point (more plate impedance).
