RE: To the Bored

I think engineers can be closed minded about certain things.

Examples would help.

Lower THD means less overall distortion and therefore more truthfull to the source. Here is the number.

Yet it sounds worse.

Why?.. because they are measuring the wrong thing. (and we know what it is).

But thats the point. So you ask the designer why it sounds worse than something with more THD, and what would their response be?. He'd probably blame your ears, or something else, and then your ears.

I'm a tradesman, and I work in engineering support with engineers on submarine support and maintenance. They ARE different people, they do see things more black and white.. they are, more solid state in nature (shoot me). And as such are prone to just being who they are.

And so what?.

Be who you are, like what you like and otherwise with the other.

If this is your biggest problem, you have a good life.
