My take

Yeah, I've checked out of here before but have returned. In my opinion (having studied EE) that audio reproduction is both art and science and that creates natural tension and conflict. Perhaps rather than ban some (heaven knows we have very few any longer), maybe we just stop the back and forth bickering and agree to disagree. I understand that the theory crowd will say, that's turning our backs on the truth. But I think anyone will have to admit there are nuances that are beyond what can be rationalized by any amount of physics because ultimately the music (that's why we're here, right?) is based on human perception and that is always a wild card. So my proposal is that we all keep an open mind, both left and right brains, and that we accept on both sides, that no one has complete understanding. I would hate to see this forum deteriorate any further. This is based entirely on my perception, experience and flawed way of seeing things, so be kind when you respond.
