My recommendation, as I'm sure others would echo, is to use Rod Coleman filament regs for DC. There are other factors besides ripple, like isolation of noise, impedance etc.
In my own system I use a choke input supply feeding Rod's regs. Choke input has a detectable improvement in smoothness with filament bias, which is one preferred method of using the 26. Not so critical if you don't use filament bias, so that's another choice to make. With filament bias you eliminate the cathode bypass cap which many feel is worthwhile.
Plenty on all this in DIY Audio thread '26 preamp'.
