RE: Bartola Gyrator

Andy, any idea what sort of voltage the gyrator needs across it to operate?.. in the schematic you linked to = 45V across it.. my application would be 40V, but regulated 40V

Kind of limits voltage swing though.. in the linked schematic he has 45V across the plate load, biases the stage at -8.5 grid volts... and if I understand correctly max voltage swing across the load would be 22 peak volts, with a mu of 9.. the output of the stage clips into the B+ at 2.5 peak volt signal input to the grid.

Guess it depends on what you want to drive with it...

How to find out how many volts this gyrator needs across it to operate?.

Thanks..
