RE: Pinging JKT

Forgot to add: the output tubes are run at 75mA bias and ~535V p/k so plate dissipation is 40W, well under the limit for KT120s. Tube life has not been an issue. However maintaining tube balance with all four output tubes operating with a common cathode connection and a single CCS is something else. Necessitates purchasing matched octets and playing musical chairs with the output tubes as they age. :)

Bumping the B+ up to 600V increased the output power as expected. As a result, sonically the amps handle big dynamic swings better.
