Food for thought...

Another idea is to run the HOT to the switch first, then to the fuse holder.

Synonymous scenario:
Installing the OPD AFTER the equipment mains disconnect.
Of course we agree on the "UL" approved method.

Another scenario worth mentioning:
Putting the fuse on the mains N > one leg of the PT primary.
Switch the mains Hot > other leg of the PT primary.
In theory it will work; I've seen many manufacturers implement fusing this way.
I only advocate the "UL" method.
