Questions regarding similar transformer coupled circuits

Greetings- I'm itching to build another amp soon, and I think that I have it narrowed down to either the Seth 2A3 PP amp on the Magnequest site or Ralph powers 6B4G PP "improved amp", possibly using 2A3s. I have all or most of the iron for a pair of mono blocs, but I need something explained first. Both amps use the 6c45Pi tube as the input, with it's plate driving the pp grids of a pair of triodes. The Ralph Power amp uses a Lundahl LL1635 interstage transformer "directly" coupled to the 6C45Pi whereas the Seth has a 6.8uf cap between the 6C45pi and the EXO -173 "center tapped choke" (interstage transformer ?). There is where I get confused. I assume that the Seth needs the 6.8 uf cap because the EXO-173 doesn't tolerate any DC voltage. But, when I go to the Lundahl website , it states : NOTE:
LL1635 is not suitable for SE to PP interstage. For this application we suggest transformer LL 1660 or LL 1660s. So ,two questions, How does Ralph Powers get away with using the LL1635 given Lundahl's statement and, can I use a UTC S-8 interstage transformer as an interstage in this circuit without a large (6.8 uf ) coupling cap? The UTC S-8 is listed as: single driver plate to push pull grids, 2.66 : 1 ,3.6 : 1, 5:1 ratios , Pri. DC to 45 ma. Thanks in advance for your help. Paul
