RE: Audible Illusions 1 low B+ problem

Pull one leg of the PT's secondary to make sure it's putting out HV.
Reconnect it and do the same to each stage until you get to the 12K resistor. Of course, make sure the passives are good - use your Fluke.
If all is good, then replace (or test) the NPNs, but replace the LM723 and the zeners .
IIRC the MJE8500's replacement is NTE2303.
As for the NPNs ....The ones that test bad still look fine.

Put in some sacrificial 6922's.
DON'T power it up w/o tubes!
