RE: Question about a resistor on negative feedback circuit

In the spirit of DIY, can the entire feedback loop. Ground the cathodes of your output section through the secondaries of you OPT. Be sure to include a bias resister in series. Connect Ultra Linear.

You will probably now have more gain than you need. Now tweak down your 10K. Bias the 12ax7s as best you can working with more current (within spec.)

If you're NOT comfortable slinging solder and taking measurements, stick to the prior suggestions.
