Chip is correct with the majority of 9 pin miniature tubes - but, I will note two exceptions:
1) Output tubes (in particular the EL84) sound best as close to 6.3 v as reasonably possible, and
2) high transconductance 9 pin minis often sound best with slightly starved filaments - typically in the 6.0 range.
Again, this is my personal opinion/experience. YMMV.
