Thanks for this info, its something I'd wondered about but never really understood.
When you say common mode, is that to say that the audio return follows equally through both halves of the secondary winding, through the CT to signal common and some cancellation takes place?. How might that relate to the varying impedance of the winding inductance with frequency?
With the leakage capacitance issues, would an electrostatic screen, or/and a 'flux band' between the pri/sec go some way to helping with this?
Finally, with your ultra sonic heating.. is there anyway to regulate the voltage of that HF AC waveform, or does it vary with line frequency just the same as 50/60Hz supplies?
