RE: one stage versus 2 stage driver

Dan,

I find listen fatigue is typically a result of lack of dampening on the part of the output (on my system).

Note:

I'm driving FE207s with mild baffle correction in a two way with a horn tweeter. The enclosure is a Voigt pipe...(small on boom, big on detail...)

I've been addressing this by focusing on all the fun tricks one can apply to mitigate...I've not seen the need for this with Triodes...although if I could find a driver that could swing enough voltage in a "graceful way" to drive a Triode in a Cathode Follower output..uumm

Yes, you typically need some gain in front of a 2 stage amp...
