Dan,

I've given the amp a few hrs of listening and I'm convinced this the best sounding Tetrode/Pentode amp that I have built. With that said, my goal was to build a inexpensive (non DHT)amp that sounded good. The DHT (everything else equal) will always have "The sound"...not everyone with a good ear can afford a good DHT amp.

I do take exception to a BLANKET statement declaring all cathode follower output amps have "No soul" when you used a different front end and expected pentodes to provide the same plate loading as a CCS...;> 0
