I built a similar amp using LL1660s for IT and LL1682s for OPT. There's a picture of this amp in the gallery.
I used triode strapped EL84s driven by a single 6922 type preamp. It took a while to get the inductance right on the LL1660s because the single ended primaries yield less inductance.The amp also has dual mono PS.
The sonic results are very good. I would consider this amp a respectable example of PP. I flip back and forth between my SE IT 50s Mono blocks and this amp can hold it's own as far as dynamics and sound stage.
A big up side to IT PP is the fact that the IT characteristics doesn't change with age like a valve phase splitter.
